Thank You!

It is with great enthusiasm that we say THANK YOU!  It has not gone unnoticed the amount of effort that has been put in by you to conserve water.  Take a look at the info graphic below for more information.

By way of information, we would also like to remind you of the following information.

  • We are experiencing the WORST water conditions in living memory.
  • The higher conservation rate WILL be rescinded.  Oct 31, 2026 is the scheduled date to move back to the normal rate schedule.
  • Any monies collected with the higher rates are going toward three main goals.  #1. Smart meters for customers, #2 . Additional water acquisition, and #3. Capital infrastructure projects.
  • Any additional money collected is NOT going toward the new office.  That project has been in the works for 14 years. The district sold the old office, received a grant, and budgeted for it well in advance of the drought conditions.
  •  There are NO data centers in the district, and none have been proposed.
  • Smart Meters are available for customers who want to track daily usage.
  • Not a drop of culinary water is being "sold" or "leased" downstream.
  • Continued conservation efforts may allow us to rescind the conservation rate earlier than planned.

The Ashley Valley Water District reports a 33% reduction in water use for summer 2026, saving 386.6 acre-feet compared to 2025.

Also, the district has a water conservation incentive program for those who fix leaks and are conserving water.  Call the office to see if you qualify.
